Post Consuming Recycling material (PCR)
One of the recent developments that has been tested and can further be implemented is the Post Consuming Recycling material (PCR).
In favour of environmental reasons there is a market need to introduce this material in various applications in their market segments. Test results show that the selected PCR material can be used with their present tooling and machinery. The only influence visually is the colour.
The selected mechanically recycled PCR material can be used for Food applications according to the new European regulation EC 1935/2004. This regulation states that the use of recycled materials and articles should be favoured for environmental reasons, if strict requirements are established to ensure food safety and consumer protection.
