SGD launches the revolutionary Infinite Glass
SGD new Infinite Glass is the 1st 100% recycled – 100% recyclable glass, dedicated to the perfumery and cosmetics industries.
SGD, a precursory glass manufacturer, anticipates on new needs related to sustainable development and creates the 1st 100% recycled glass dedicated to perfumery – cosmetics.
Glass, endlessly recyclable, is well-known to be one of the most environmentally friendly material. But contrary to the popular perception, its composition is never 100% the result of recycling. In the perfume industry, glass is usually composed of 30% of in-house cullet (recycling of the production loss) and 70% of raw materials (sand, sodium, fining agents).
Using a higher level of cullet in the glass production enables to avoid raw materials extractions, lower carbon dioxide rejections and energy consumption.
With the Infinite Glass, SGD launches a new type of glass composed with 100% of white household cullet, which environmental impact is as low as possible.
By producing this new environmental friendly glass, SGD complete its standards range with a new line of bottles and jars coming from eco-conception: “Gaïa”. This line is inspired by creations from the goddess of nature; its design plays with material movements, the fluidity of waves and the balance of elements.
